I am a scientific researcher of the National Council of Research of Argentina (CONICET), currently working at the Instituto de investigaciones Médicas M. y M. Ferreyra, at Córdoba, Argentina.

I the analyze the rewarding effects of alcohol during adolescence, as assessed through animal and human experimental models. The research aims at identifying subpopulations of subjects with differential susceptibility to exhibit problematic alcohol consumption. The ultimate objective is to determine predictors of vulnerability to excessive alcohol consumption in adolescents.

I am also an Associate Editor of the The Journal of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Risk & Prevention,  Full Professor of Neurophysiology and Psychophysiology at the Psych Department of the National University of Córdoba (UNC) and a proud member of the "Educando al Cerebro" outreach activity
